The Cappies, “Critics and Awards Program,” is a program through which high school theater and journalism students are trained as critics, attend shows at other schools, write reviews, and publish those reviews in local newspapers like The Washington Post.
Lake Braddock Theatre has participated in the National Capital Area chapter of the Cappies since its creation in 1999, in the following eleven seasons Lake Braddock Theatre’s productions and critics have received 70 nominations and 17 awards.
